About Me

I was born in Northern New Mexico and attended art school in Kansas City and Chicago. After graduation, I moved to Santa Fe to paint where I had my first experience of the transformative power of analytic psychotherapy. I worked with a Jungian Analyst who introduced me to the work of Carl Jung and to the symbolic meanings in dreamwork.

In my mid-forties, I return to school to study a classical style of painting and re-entered Jungian Analysis. Tracking my dreams and shifts in energy lead me to become aware that the next step in my life’s journey was to become a psychotherapist. Heeding that call, I attended the California Institute for Integral Studies where I earned a Masters degree in counseling psychology.

In addition to seeing patients online, I am a candidate at the C.G. Jung Institute in San Francisco and participate in an ongoing psychodynamic infant observation group. My creative outlets include collage, painting, and writing. For leisure, I enjoy hiking, cooking, and reading.

Every phenomenon on earth, is a symbol and every symbol is an open gate through which the soul, if it is ready to do so, can penetrate to the depths of the world, where you and I, day and night, become one....
— Hermann Hesse
